Simplifying 3 main user flows and implementing internal forms
Solution
Pride is a feeling that influences one’s sense of self from the bottom up. While gradual, progress is being made to embrace solidarity and acceptance of the LGBTQIA2S+ community without caveat – celebrating the true essence of self-expression, solidarity and purpose.
Van Vogue Jam is a Vancouver based non-profit organization that offers weekly pay–what– you–can and open–to–all–levels vogue classes and events. VVJ was founded in 2017 by Ralph Escamillan to support, build, and nurture the Vogue/Ballroom scene within Vancouver. Ralph’s goal is to share the culture and experience of vogue, contributing towards a growing culture of dance and safe spaces for the LGBTQIA2S+ BIPOC community.
The objective of this project is to assist Van Vogue Jam in the completion of a website re- design (for desktop screens) to increase community involvement, measured by increases of event attendees, donations, and website engagement.
Scenario maps were created to empathize with each persona’s user journey to target any points of confusion or pain points to be improved.
Unique interactions were implemented to inject moments of delight throughout the website.
Internal forms were implemented to stop users from navigating to 3rd party sites to sign up for classes, events or to donate.
